  I saw Dr. Stillion for years, but she decided to go to Patient First. I am on Cholesterol and early Alzheimer's medication which needed to be refilled. My Cancer Dr. is at Southside Regional Medical so I looked for a G.P. physician there. I made an appointment with Dr. Lewis, and was told because I was a new patient and the time allotment, he could not see me for 2 months. I called weekly to see if there was any cancellations to get in sooner, didn't happen. The night before, the Dr's office called and reminded me of my 4:00 appointment. At 3:45 I was there, The staff was very rude, " you were told to arrive 45 minutes early so we could call your Cigna health care provider for approval." I filled out all the paperwork, and told them I called Cigna and Dr Lewis was on the approval list. They did not care, they only call Cigna after a patient is in the office not before. I was not getting surgery only a lab test and drugs renewed. HOW MONEY HUNGRY CAN A DR'S OFFICE BE, NOT TO SEE A PATIENT WITHOUT INSURANCE APPROVAL! or when they called to remind a patient of an appointment clearly state the 45 minute early or say your appointment is 3:15 PM. How hard would that have been. Rude and condescending. I'm going to a Dr at HCA. I got an appointment in 2 weeks. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND TOLD ME I MISSED THE APPOINTMENT AND WOULD I LIKE TO RESCHEDULE.

  I read a few post about Dr.Lewis and his staff. I've heard for example his staff was very rude. Well seen a very friendly staff everytime with a very hard working receptionist that is so focused on getting things correct for the doc I could see her coming off the wrong way. Most are upset because they don't want to send you home with a bunch of narcotics. They're willing to listen very well and have an abundance of knowledge if one is willing to give them a chance . Love you guys.
